Tm and his brother Justin are still finalizing the the coop plans which is perfect because the chicks will have to live in the house for 5 weeks. Here are a couple of pictures of them. The one that I am holding is named, Sidney...she is a fiesty little one, she pecked at Tim the first time he went to pick her up.

Garden debut
This is a picture of our garden, kind of hard to tell the scale but the dimensions are 14 x 16. In there, we have planted: radishes, tomatoes, beets, squash, zucchini, cucumber, canteloupe, watermelon, collard greens, spinach, swiss chard, thyme, basil, chives, cilantro, sage, green beans, butter lettuce and of strawberries.
Tim and I had to put up the fence to keep all the critters (deer mainly) out of the garden! That was an argument waiting to happen so I just let him try it his way and then when it didn't work...we did it my way!
Yesterday was Tim's 31st birthday and we celebrated by having a gourmet dinner at home, compliments of Tim, of course. We started to hear really scary noises right before we got ready to sit down...they were coyotes! If you have never heard wild coyotes before, they are really creepy...they don't howl, they shreik...then we heard gunshots, sometimes I forget I live in the "country".
I think it was my mom that likened us to the tv show "Green Acres" remember that show? My friend, Rochelle wonders if the farming life for me is more like "Dirty Jobs" or "A Simple Life". You know, that really bad show with Paris Hilton and Nicole Ritchie?! If I had to be one of them then I would want to be Nicole...at least she seems like a decent person.
Tim had a contest today to see what we should name the 2 piggies when they arrive. Some of the names submitted were:
Jerry and Bobby (Greatful Dead tribute)
Breakfast and Dinner
Carnitas and El Pastor
Bacon Butt and Pork Face
Bangers and Mash
Ham and Eggs
Jeremiah and Trotter (Linebacker for the Eagles...thanks Raph!)

Just another Sunday...
So! Now that we are married, we get to do all kinds of fun things like work on our garden and make amazing meals on Sundays. Here is a picture of Tim making meatballs for a ridiculous dinner that we had with Justin and Dana. You can't tell but...they were made with bread crumbs from a garlic and herb bread (that I had made the previous weekend) and meat that Tim had ground himself. After the meatballs were finished cooking, Tim dropped them into a perfect simmering marinara while the four of us made from scratch the fettuccine. We ate and drank wine until our bellies ached...just another Sunday nights with the West County Bodells!
